Let’s talk about business credit cards. While there are many to choose from, if you’re just starting out with a new business / new LLC, then there are some credit cards that you should consider. I narrowed them all down to my Top 5 Picks so you can more easily choose one to get started. They’re ALL credit cards with no annual fee, strong rewards, and are relatively easy to get approved for if you have great credit. Unfortunately, credit score requirements are not published by the banks. But most will pull your personal credit report, so be sure to get your score as high as you can.

We’ll look at one Bank of America credit card that allows you to select a 3% cash back category of your choice each month.

We’ll then discuss a couple Chase credit cards, specifically, Chase Ink Business credit cards. The first will award you 1.5% cash back on all purchases with no cap, which is great to use for all expenses that would normally earn only 1% on other cards. The second has several specific categories that earn 5% and 2%. The good news is that they both have no annual fee and earn the same type of rewards (Chase Ultimate Rewards points) so you can combine them all together. Plus, if you also add a premium card on the business side (Chase Ink Business Preferred) or the personal side (Chase Sapphire Preferred or Chase Sapphire Reserve), then all your points can get a 25% – 50% boost in value when redeemed for travel via the Chase Travel portal…AND you can access Chase Transfer Partners!

Finally, we’ll wrap up with 2 American Express credit cards that are EXCELLENT for new businesses. One earns Amex Membership Rewards points, which are best used for travel (specifically, flights). The other earns cash back, which is automatically redeemed each month as a statement credit
