Caillou and Dad are settling down for their favourite weekend ritual of „reading” the paper. Caillou can’t wait to see his favourite comic strip, but thanks to an ill-timed gust of wind and a very mischievous cat, Caillou has to exercise some patience and persistence before he can finally enjoy it.

Caillou can’t seem to play quietly in his room without Rosie interrupting and generally getting in his way. Caillou doesn’t want to play with Rosie but when she suddenly disappears, the afternoon turns into a fun game of hide and seek.

Caillou, Mom and Rosie go tot the park for a picnic and bring a kite. Unfortunately, there isn’t much wind, and Caillou can’t get the kite to fly. Mom suggests waiting a while, and while he waits, Caillou looks up at the clouds and sees all kinds of shapes. he’s disappointed when the wind picks up and blows the clouds away, but then he remembers his kite!

Mom and Dad are busy with spring cleaning and Caillou wants to help. After a couple of ill-fated attempts, Mom and Dad give Caillou his very own chore to do and with no thanks to Gilbert, he does it all by himself.
