Contemporary identity of Canadian and Ukrainian cinema within the framework of Kyiv Critics’ Week

The curators of Kyiv Critics’ Week and their Canadian colleagues will talk about common and different things in Ukrainian and Canadian cinema. What defines these cinematographies now: which themes are most expressive, which voices are most audible? How do Ukrainian and Canadian cinema exist and find their own uniqueness near the great poles of attraction?
