For our last of our Nine Enduring Principles, Rick Sarre joins us from Adelaide, Australia, to share a message on the Pursuit of Peace (Shalom). Rick is an Emeritus Professor of Law at the University of South Australia and a past president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology. He is the co-author or editor of numerous books, including Religion Matters: The Contemporary Relevance of Religion and Police Education and Training in a Global Society.
In Community of Christ, we believe that God wants shalom (justice, reconciliation, well-being, wholeness, and peace) for all of creation, in all aspects of life. Our understanding of “the Kingdom of Heaven” or “Zion,” is a society that shares the blessings that come through living by the „upside down” principles of compassion and justice proclaimed by Jesus. God calls us to actively participate in the restoration of shalom across creation.
We invite you to share this hour of reflection, prayer, meditation, music, and fellowship with the Beyond the Walls global community.
The order of worship is not yet confirmed, please check again later in the week.
All music performed by the Beyond the Walls Choir and Michael Karpowicz.

We are a non-dogmatic church open to interfaith and skeptical perspectives. We reject literal interpretations of scripture. We welcome and affirm all gender identities and expressions. On the first Sunday of each month, we invite online attendees of all religious affiliations and spiritual types to celebrate communion.
