An international teacher tells why kids miss going to school, what teachers can do to improve online learning and how parents can help along the way. Mark is originally from the greater Philadelphia area, but he’s lived and worked in 4 different countries since leaving the U.S. in 2006. He started his educational career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Thailand, and has worked for over 15 years in a variety of roles mainly with secondary aged students. He currently teaches Geography at the International School of Amsterdam. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
