Why I Regret Opening The BILT Credit Card…

A lot has changed over the course of the last year or so, one of the main things being my opinion on the BILT credit card as a churner within the space.

I prioritize getting as many points as possible when signing up for a new credit card. This means hunting elevated welcome offers, applying for business cards, or other strategies that can increase the value of a welcome offer. Unfortunately the BILT card provides nothing in the way of a welcome offer and also takes up a Chase 5/24 slot, both of which are very valuable to me. Even still, I think the BILT credit card has helped me get to where I am today in my credit card journey.

Today I discuss why, in hindsight, I regret opening the BILT credit card, and if given the choice would I go back in time to change my decision.

I’m very curious as to what your thoughts and opinions on my take are. As a no annual fee travel credit card, is a great entry point into the world of credit card rewards. However, with the recent nerf of the 2x BILT Rent Day promo, this card is becoming less and less valuable to more seasoned players.
